RETAIL SALES LEAD

Ideal candidates for all positions should have an understanding of the harvest season in Pennsylvania, be willing to work weekends, enjoy the outdoors and have a knowledge and love of produce, food & cooking. Past retail sales experience a plus. A great attitude and willingness to work hard with a team of foodies is a must.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Achieve sales targets and campaigns as set forth by Farmers Market Manager
  • Maintain customer service standards by attending and selling to customer needs
  • Directs and deploys staff from position to position throughout the day/week as necessary when Store Manager or Sales Manager are absent.
  • Collaborate and proactively identify, display & marketing of weekly specials & promotions to avoid shrinkage and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Ongoing training of staff on service, product details & sales strategies with each season.
  • Partner with store manager to identify potential vendors & new products to compliment FF product line and maximize sales goals.
  • Ongoing measurement & analysis of product units sold and margin performance by campaign, week, month and year to drive peak retail sales profitability.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the store as scheduled, exceeding customer service standards and achieving store operational objectives.
  • When scheduled for store closing will balance sales drawers, calculate totals and submit daily sales reports.
  • Market and aggressively sell key Frecon products
  • Operate cash register
  • Creation, stocking & fulfillment of product displays
  • Adherence to Frecon Farms dress code and ethical standards
  • Attends Frecon Farms employee operations meetings as scheduled
  • Fulfillment of minimum hourly requirements as agreed when hired
  • Fulfillment of additional hours as requested, scheduled or warranted by season

Sales Lead is an important extension of the Frecon Farms brand and fill key roles in the SALES of our core products and MARKETING of our on the farm events, farm market, cidery and bakery.

Available position has mandatory hours on Sundays.

FARMERS MARKET SALES ASSOCIATE

Multiple Positions Currently Available for 2018 Season

Past retail sales experience a plus. A great attitude and willingness to work hard with a team of foodies is a must.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Market and aggressively sell key Frecon products
  • Operate cash register
  • Comfortable driving a van of box truck
  • Creation, stocking & fulfillment of product displays
  • Build & breakdown of off-site mobile store & product displays
  • Adherence to Frecon Farms dress code and ethical standards
  • Attends Frecon Farms employee operations meetings as scheduled
  • Fulfillment of minimum hourly requirements as agreed when hired
  • Fulfillment of additional hours as requested, scheduled or warranted by season

PRODUCTION BAKER:

We are looking for a new member of our team who has a passion for baking!  As a member of the Frecon Farms bakery team, your role will include maintaining bakery displays, preparing baked goods, ensuring product quality, communicating inventory needs to Lead Baker, carrying out daily production quota set by Lead bakery, and following kitchen rules and regulations.  We are looking someone who has basic knife skills for prepping items for production and prior knowledge of producing items such as soups, quiche, cookies, and breads, as well as prior experience working in a commercial bakery and large scale production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to and carries out daily production schedule and quota set by Lead Baker
  • Communicates any inventory needed to Lead Baker.
  • Follows weekly bakery cleaning schedule.
  • Maintains bakery displays; baking and filling displays as needed on a day to day basis.
  • Executes the baking, packaging/labeling, and presentation of menu items produced within the bakery by following the standardized recipes.
  • Ensures bakery and equipment are maintained according to proper health and sanitation standards.
  • Responsible for prep of various items for production.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work the afternoon-nighttime shift as well as weekends.
  • Must have prior experience using commercial bakery equipment.
  • Must be proficient in baking and have knowledge of various pastry and baking techniques as well as basic cooking techniques used to produce cookies, soups, quiche, breads, etc.
  • Must have basic knife skills.
  • Capable of working in conditions that consistently require lifting 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time.
